Anyone who claims to know the answer is lying. There have been numerous, contradictory studies on the subject. It's still inconclusive.
The last cell phone related heath article I read claimed that brain tumor patients generally identified the side of their head with brain tumors to be the side in which they used their phones. The article was careful to point out that many cancer patients are desperate to find reasoning behind their illness, and may have convinced themselves that the cell phones were responsible.
