Will cannabis be in my system from passive smoking?

Hi, I am being offered employment and I have an alcohol and drugs screening in 2 days. As quite a few of my friends smoke cannabis will it be in my system as I am worried that I may fail as a result of this?

I don't smoke it whatsoever and the last time I was in contact with cannabis from passive smoking was last week. Even though i did not inhale the smoke from them I could smell it from the next room as they were in the kitchen while I was in the living room. Will it still be in me?

I don't think anyone can give you an absolute answer to that question. The amount taken into your body will have been very small, however some very sensitive tests can pick up cannabis after it was used 4 weeks previously, and passive cigarette smoking is known to allow enough absorption to be significant problems.

I suspect on balance that a screen test will not be sensitive enough,but it is impossible to be certain. It is unfortunate that you could conceivably be penalised for the sins of your ' friends'.
