Can stress cause nosebleeds? If so, how and why?!

Question:

Can stress cause nosebleeds? If so, how and why?

Answers:

It is possible. The situation most likely involve a blood vessel close to the surface of the tissue in your nose which is in a weakened state. If you stress and your blood pressure rises, the vessel can burst giving you a nose bleed.

I had this when I was 14 and it was due to increased blood pressure from excersion or stress. The doctor looked inside my nose and saw the culprit and cauterized the vessel and I had no more issues.
