Who gets more respect than a cardiologist?
what other type of doctor in another field gets more respect, and authority in the medical field. I know neurologists are at the same levels as a cardiologist,,,is there someone higher???

Obviously the chief cardiologist is above the entire cardiac department. He/she has the authority to overrule staff doctors although their work is mostly done from behind a desk rather than over a table. The chief of staff is higher up the ladder still. As for getting respect, each specialist deserves his or her own. You wouldn't consult a cardiologist or neurologist for an ectopic pregnancy or enlarged prostate. With that said, if you are in search of the doctors' doctor, you should seek a pathologist.
