How do u really clean a belly ring, because some ppl are telling me just wash it with antibacterial soap and use sea salts, and some are say to apply oilment or bactine and so one please help

When I had mine pierced they tole me to take sea salt, mix it with water and put it in a shot glass then slouch down and hold it over my belly for about 15 minutes. I had to do that twice a day. And when I was in the shower I would wash it with antibacterial soap (once a day). It worked for my, I got it pierced three years ago and it healed fine. :)
