Is it advisable to get lasik surgery treatment done to get rid of glasses? Any drawbacks?
Answers:
Positives: Quick procedure. Fairly affordable. No longer experimental (it's been around a long time, therefore, they've worked out all of the kinks). Pretty safe. No more glasses. You can wear cool sunglasses again.
Negatives: Not reversible. If they make a mistake, it could conceivably cost you your eyesight. Not progressive (won't compensate for Macular Degeneration down the line). Not for the squeamish- they literally slice off layers of your cornea. Although the success rate is very high, there is no guarantee.
