Cremation or burial/funeral?

I need to know from personal experiences which one they prefer....

Im so sorry i didnt mean it like that...i meant like if you have had a loved one pass which one did you choose and why?

I don't know...I'm not dead yet....but I know that because of the reqest of the deceased(my dad) he was cremated and his ashes scattered at his favorite fishing place.
Another consideration is cost...it can cost above 15,000 dollars to bury someone(my grandmother) and cremation is only around 500 bucks. There's also the religious factor.
