Cannabis and blood tests?

i am going to the nurse tomorrow for a blood test and regulary smoke cannabis,will this be picked up or will she only pick up on what she needs to know?

the nurse will be doing a full blood count trying to find oout why i've lost weight and feeling down at the moment.so i'm just worried that if they find traces of cannabis they'll just blame it all on that.

It stays longer in the blood than it does with urine. It stays in urine for 3 to 8 days. In the blood it can stay for over a month. If this is an actual drug test you're talking about, then you will fail.

An ingredient in cannabis attaches itself to fat cells in your body and these fat cells are analysed to see if cannabis is present. Therefore, if you are overweight or have a high body fat content, it takes longer to flush out of your system.

If it's a blood test looking for something other than illegal drugs, then you should be ok. These procedures are carried out by medical personnel using specific testing kits. If they don't test for a specific substance, then they won't find it.

At the risk of sounding like a prick here, have you ever thought about giving up smoking gear?
