What blood tests are ran when having surgery..??
Does anyone know what all blood tests are performed when you are up for surgery? What all do they check for? HIV as well?
Answers:
They will only do a blood test if they are unaware of your blood type. Besides that they don't do anything and they will ask you questions before hand like are you sexually active, do you have HIV, do you drink, do drugs, etc etc. If you answer yes to the last two then they will check. Generally if your HIV positive you'll know.
