i was gonna buy this yesterday, but after seeing a warning label on the back saying a weird message "only recognized in California, some material may cause risk of cancer, or birth defect"
so i didn't get it.. what does that mean? why is it only recognized in California.. any feedback would be great, i'm puzzled..

Unless you lick the gong and it's stand all the time, it will not cause cancer out of nowhere. There is probably a minute amount of some carcinogen in the paint, so don't eat or smoke it. California puts warnings like that on a lot of imports because some asian countries use questionable materials. Other states don't have the same protective law about labeling as California so it doesn't mean much in this case.
