is it deadly? i heard it wasnt, how is it diff from the regular lukemia

Answers:

There is chronic leukemia and acute leukemia.

In chronic leukemia, the symptoms develop slowly and are vague so often it is mistaken as another illness in the beginning. The symptoms can be skin problems, digestive problems, kidney complaints, swollen lymph glands and central nervous system issues. Most affected will complain of tiredness and fever. Also, they have night sweats and unexplained weight loss. It might take years before it is diagnosed.

In acute leukemia, the symptoms appear fast and get bad fast. Symptoms are swollen lymph nodes, sores, headaches, loss of muscle control, vomiting, confusion and seizures.

Sometimes, if caught very early, a fast, aggressive treatment can cure acute leukemia. There is no such ending for chronic leukemia. Treatment is the same for both forms of leukemia the goal is for remission. Remission is an absence of all symptoms. However, the symptoms can always return.
