What can I do to calm a quesy stomach? I get really nervous before drs. appointments my stomach acts up alot.

Hhow can I calm my nerves and keep my stomach from going 246. I'm starting to feel like I wanna throw up too, from nervousness. Help!!

try calmly breathing. inhale and count to 5, then exhale counting to 5 (in your head). do this for about 2 minutes, then if your comfortable move up to 7 seconds. after 5 minutes of this, hopefully you will be more calm.

if that doesn't work, try getting your mind off of it somehow. listen to your favorite music. watch some television.

if not, then try to hit the source of the problem directly. lie down and think exactly what is making you nervous. once you found whatever is making you nervous, forget it, and concentrate only on your nervousness. amplify and intensify it for 5 minutes. even though this sounds backwards, it will help your body to recognize that your nervousness is something you control, even without the stimulus, which will then hopefully calm your fears altogether.
