Son of 6 has eczema on his legs?!

Question:

Son of 6 has eczema on his legs?

whats the best treatment, it bleeds and has never really cleared up since he was 2 years old

Answers:

my son has bad eczema on his legs, arms and face. We have experimented with lots of different things suggested to us by people but using soya milk instead of cows milk has taken the eczema off his face, and cutting out cheese reduced it considerably on his legs and arms. hydrocortisone was the best cream for clearing it, but of course this is a steroid cream and so i didnt like to apply this too liberally, it does tend to thin the skin over years of constant use. Lastly, to help sleeping at night, Piriton is good when itching gets very bad. All the other creams we tried were good when the eczema was undercontrol and we wanted to keep the skin moist, but we didn't find it useful if the eczema was starting to take hold.

Good Luck with finding the right treatment for your son.
