Because of the health privacy laws (HIPAA) no one without the proper access to the hospital databanks will be able to see whether or not you were admitted. Generally the only individuals outside of the actual hospital that can access this information are other doctors offices, insurance companies, etc- and that's only if the admitted individual is one of their paitents and the hospital has an online database.
If you're trying to skip work or something of that nature, they may not be able to "look up" your hospital stay, but most will insist upon seeing your discharge paperwork from the hospital.
If you just want someone to think you were in the hospital... all you can really do is tell them and hope they trust you (though you do appear to be lying in this insance... good luck on pulling that off, hope you've got a good poker face gunner)
