GETING a PHYSICAL?
IM 13 YRS OLD. IM GOING TO BAND CAMP THIS SUMER. I HAVE NEVER GOTTON A PYYSICAL AND IM GOING TO GET ONE 2MARROW. WHAT DO THEY DO? DO I HAVE TO TAKE OFF MY CLOTHES? IM A LITTLE SCARED.

Getting a physical for the first time can be a little scary. Even I get nervous going to the doctor. This is what they do: the nurse will take you height, weight, pulse, blood pressure, temperature, and your respiration. When the doctor comes in he/she will ask you questions about your health, such as when you had your last period (or if you had one), if you ever drink, do drugs, are sexually active, or have a boyfriend, if you have a best friend, what kinds of food you eat, and any concerns you may have. Then the doctor will look into your ears, nose, mouth, throat for any abnormalities, he/she will listen for breath sounds, and listen to your hear. Then the doctor may have you to lay on the table so he/she can feel around your stomach area for any abnormalities. Good luck!
