would feeling up a super absorbant tamapon along with the panty liner and panties be the same as filling up a pad? Im asking because I was told it was abnormal to fill up a pad in a hour. But I don't have any pads right now, only tampons. I was told to contact the gyn if the problem persists. But should I wait untill tomorrow? Or should I go in for emergency? I got the (copper) IUD on thursday.

You are right it is abnormal to fill up a pad in 1 hour, unfortunately I don't know if that is equal to a tampon. I myself have filled up a tampon and panty liner in an hour during heavy periods.
