Ear help please??? whats wrong with it?!?!?

i came back from the pool today and had tons of water in my ear. i still cannot get it out. i took a cutip and tried to get it out and it hurt me really bad. now my ear hurts. what could it be, what should i do??? thanks so much!

First of all, that's very common. You just plain got too much water in your ear, or the pool chemicals did something to cause a reaction. You could try getting something over the counter to use. Ask the pharmacist which product would be best for you to use in your case. Lots of times they know as much or even more than your Dr, does w/meds. 'cause they are his specialty. If you want to try something now, I just looked on Google for you: 50/50 parts of rubbing alcohol & white vinegar. Put a few drops in your ear & tilt it to the side so it w/go into your ear canal. The alcohol w/help evaporate the water & both w/help kill any bacteria or fungus infections. OR, you can just use a couple drops of white vinegar. I'd use the alcohol one tho to help remove the water loged in there. Do ck. w/your pharmacist tho as it also said there are OTC remedies. Put heat on it too & lay on that side. My son use to get "swimmers ear" a lot when he was a kid, so I'm very familiar w/it & how painful it is. You also could take an OTC paid med. too. You should be OK tho. Just be careful next time, maybe wear good ear plugs the next time & put the alcohol/vinegar in BEFORE to avoid this happening again. Good luck & hope you fel better soon!
