Guitarist?
I'm a really good guitarist and only been playing for bout 3 years. I can paly anything from Jimi Hendrix including solos and i have made up stuff thats about his level. I am wondering do yall think i got what it takes to become a guitarist in a a well known band.
Answers:
It is hard to say.If you are suggesting to fill in a vacant spot for a current popular band then I guess it depends on whether you can adapt to their style,if your wanting to be in a local band that gets discovered, that requires alot of luck and being the right sound for the right moment.
Personally I think Hendrix is grossly overrated as a musician,for an example of impressive guitar ability check out Al Dimeola's "Mediterranian Sundance",or Yngwie Malmsteen's "Far beyond the Sun".Both are the upper tier of guitar virtuosos,Yngwie for his neo-classical metal and Dimeola's right hand picking technique is unmatched.
