Please Help - What's wrong with me?!

Question:

Please Help - What's wrong with me?

I have sharp pain in the sides of my abdominal and my bottom ribs, and a constant headache. My back and chest are really sore and sometimes it feels like someone is pushing down on it.
I'm coughing up gooey clearish white stuff, and my panties are stained brown by the end of the day (I'm not sure what it is, but its definitely not my period).
I've been to the doctor twice and the first time he gave me medicine for bronchitis, the second time I saw his understudy and he brushed me off and gave me pain medicine I can't take because I'm allergic to it. I've been to the ER. They gave me cough medicine, it stopped me from coughing as much, but I'm still coughing up stuff.
This has been going on for months.
My arms and legs have been going numb as well.
I haven't taken any of the pain medicine he gave me.
I can't see the real doctor for another two weeks.

Thanks for the serious replies.

I'm 19, I don't smoke, but my mom does.
I do take birth control pills, and I've been taking penicillin for about a week because I have an infected tooth. I've been sick longer than the tooth has been infected.
My neck and shoulders have been really stiff, but nothing is swollen and I'm really itchy,I can't sleep very well because everything hurts.
The numbness is real numbness, its sort of tingly.
I don't think the discharge is coming from my vagina, my pee has been a reddish - brown color and the stains are a bit darker.
His intern was rather arrogant and didn't pay much attention to what he was doing, I'd seen him before and asked not to see him again, but he was the only one there that day.
I never took any of the medication he gave me, because the pharmacist caught it when I had the prescription filled.
I haven't been tested for AIDs, though I'm pretty sure I haven't been exposed to it.

Also, I have a couple of cuts on my leg that have been there for at least 3 months, and are just now healing.

Answers:

This is a tough one, unless the symptoms are caused by multiple problems. Any other symptoms? Any glands swollen (your doctor should've checked this)? Any swelling anywhere? Do you think the discharge is from the vagina or elsewhere? The only possibility I could find is Amyloidosis. Some other factors would be good to know. What is your age? Do you smoke? If so, for how long? Is the numbness just tingling (like the limbs falling asleep) or is it full blown numbness? Are you taking ANY medications? Include even supplements or birth control (women often forget to list this)? If your doctor's intern gave you something you are allergic to and you let them know (on your initial paperwork), then please go to another doctor. All intern's are suppose to consult their attending, and AT LEAST the attending should catch this. When you do go back, be firm about what you feel you need. If it is the condition I mentioned, then you may have an enlarged liver or spleen, so an ultrasound would be needed. If your insurance allows you to see a specialist without a referral from your primary doctor, then go ahead and do so, otherwise try your best to get one. I know it's a bit of a stereotype, but Physician's Assistants are known for overreacting, so if you could see one of them they may order more tests. Also, I hope it doesn't scare you too much, but have you been tested for HIV/AIDS in the last six months? Only you know if you could have been exposed. Your MD should at least do a CBC on you every year (just general blood testing to see if levels are normal, such as your hematocrit level and protein level, etc.). I hope this helps, please follow up.
