I am an ex smoker been quit for 3 months but i think that the ban is a discrace

i think the pubs should alternate it,after half an hour all the non smokers should go outside,in the freezing cold,and rain ,while the smokers have a smoke in peace.then another half hour the smokers go outside,pretty soon the non smokers ,will get as fed up as the smokers ,and normal service will be resumed.
that should stir up a few hornets nests?
