Would it be harder for an alcohol dependant person to stop drinking, or a smoker!

Question:

Would it be harder for an alcohol dependant person to stop drinking, or a smoker to stop smoking?

Obviously, whatever addiction you overcame seems harder than one you haven't had to deal with.......but maybe some people have overcame both? I would think alcohol, because that is what I am dealing with....and my heart even stopped beating and having palpatations. After research, I found many life threatening possibilities with quiting alcohol cold turkey, and none for smokers, only strong urges and headaches. Feedback?

Answers:

you have a chemical dependancy with Alcohol. Your body needs it. When you stop drinking you will get shakey. This doesnt happen as much Smoking. Just to stop drinking cold turkey can be bad. But its easier to stop. They have pills to full you body, they also have them so you wont get shakey anymore. Pills like Vistaril will hid the affects of your shaking and nervousness when you go cold turkey.

The drugs to get you off of alcohol are much more affective then those that try to get you off of nicatine.

Talk to a doctor, if you are chemical dependent on alcohol you need a couple pills that will help you in the first few day or weeks. But its much easier to stop drinking then smoking.

As far as I know the only way to get off nicotine is to give you less and less nicotine over time. Alcohol they can give you pills to fool your brain. Alcohol you can be done in 1 to 2 days, with the shaking.

Talk to your doctor if you are serious.
