Mom Took Xanax..How long do they take to leave your system?

My mom took Xanax,She used to be addicted to them about 7 years ago.She just took them yesterday and today she was still high,Then (That I know of) She took atleast 3 today..can anyone tell me an estimated time atleast on how long these take to wear off?I have a younger brother here and I dont want him seeing her like that.

For a regular person, around 4 hours. For a person addicted or took more than she should, I'm not sure. Also, alcohol intensifies the drug action.

She probably has been on them steadily for these seven years--Abusers are BS artists by nature.

Do you have an adult around to help you? Get someone to call Social Services in your locality.

You concern for your younger brother is admirable and touching. Watch out for him.

Also, if you can't wake your Mom up--get the paramedics quick by calling 911.
