I really need your help...my dad is scaring me...?!

Question:

I really need your help...my dad is scaring me...?

So me and my dad have been fighting and all of a sudden he comes down tonight and hugs each of his kids (not just short hugs but long ones). When he gets to me he whispers in my ear that he is sorry for what happened and that he will try to be a better father. Then he tells me that he thinks his time is coming... He looked straight into my eyes and told me that he honestly believes that it is almost his time. I don't know what to do...He thinks he has a tumor in his stomach because it is hard. He has a pot belly/beer belly...so I guess my questions are: A- can it be normal for someone with a pot belly/beer belly to have a hard stomach? and B-Can tumors be passed down by parents (I ask this because his father died of a tumor). I am really scared. My mother died when I was 8 and I am so scared right now about my father. PLZ HELP ME!

Answers:

I understand your concern

The answer to your first question is yes, persons with a routine drinking habit do gain a beer belly and yes they can be hard. If he had low body fat before his beer belly that can explain why his belly is hard.. if he had alot of body fat before his belly, it might me a little softer and jigglier.

The answer to your second question is yes, some tumors can be hereditary.. but you shouldn't take someone's advise online... if you and your father are concerned.. talk to your father and get him to consult a physician... that way if there is something wrong with him, he can find out immediately and that gives him a better chance of surviving/healing.

Talk to your dad, make sure he goes to a doctor, if you are concerned, ask if you can go with your dad, that way if it is a false alarm the physician can give you and your dad reassurance BUT if there is something wrong, your dad wont find out alone, he will have you for comfort.

I hope this helps you out, and I wish the best for your father.

Remember... Doctors.. the sooner the better
