My dad pees blood?

yeah my dad told me and my family that when he goes pee blood comes out.. what does he need to do in order to get rid of the problem? my sister said he neeeds to drink more water but he says he doesnt drink water he drinks tea instead.. and they were aruging over it.. is water the only solution?? he says hes getting old anyways and is gonna die and iono what to do..
