I have lost the desire to live, what do i do from this point?!

Question:

I have lost the desire to live, what do i do from this point?

I have an MA in math and i doing a phd. dont get me wrong, i love math, it is all i have ever done.... but i am tired of my low pay, my low station in life.; this is kinda strange coz i used to live an extremely lower class lifestyle, eating little, eating cheap haviung torn shoes has always been part of my life. all of a sudden, all this poverty and squalor seems so demeaning, i want my life to end; my desire to live is only physical now; i.e. i still pull my hands away from the fire, but i will keep hoping that the fire is big enough.

Answers:

Step back from yourself and look at everything....and say to yourself "what do i need to change in my life". If your not happy with what is going on....then your the only one that can make things different for the better. Life is hard, Trust me i know...I'm a former drug user and alcoholic(12 years clean) I went from having nothing to having everything then to having nothing again and i have been rebuilding my life every second of every day.... there is no prescribed drug or any therapist going to help change your life you have to make and want it to change to the way that your happy.First of all don't worry about what people think of you. depression is only a state of mind, you have the will power to snap out of it,you just have to dig down deep into your soul and pull it out from under that rock inside you, you will find your balance in life just focus.
Remember one thing....there is no such thing as "weak will power", you just have to find that certain thing in you that can unleash your strength....Your going to be fine and able to enjoy life. Good Luck.
