Dangerous ammonia levels?!
Question:
Dangerous ammonia levels?
I have a friend that lives with her parents and her mom has like 30 indoor cats. The smell of ammonia is so bad I couldnt stand in the house for more than a minute, I almost passed out when she opened up the front door. There is also a 4 year old living in the house, are there any long or short term effects of living in such an enviroment?
Answers:
You asked a great question. There are both short and long term effects on the lungs, and probably many more. A small child should never have to endure such living conditions, and I would report this woman to ASPCA, and child welfare immediately. She will never know that it was you, so I implore you to do so. Not only is this a health hazard for all who live in that house, it has to be a nuisance for neighbors as well. Please be a child and animal advocate and turn this woman in. Thank you and good luck!
