How do you prevent the pains in your stomach when you run or walk??!

Question:

How do you prevent the pains in your stomach when you run or walk??

Everytime I play games where you have to run, I can't catch people easily. It's not because I don't run fast, it's because I get these pains in my sides. Their called side stitches I think, but how do you stop or prevent them. I heard that a cause of them is too much blood flow to your stomach, so they say not to eat right before you are getting active. Or eat something light, but I'm not sure. Also, it's not just when running, it's when I walk sometimes. I'm going to play a sport next year, where I have to run a lot, and I don't know how I can do that without stopping every five minutes.

Answers:

this happens because of lactic acid build up. lactic acid replaces the oxygen that the muscles need. during vigourous activities your lungs + blood may not satisfy the oxygen demands. so ...

lactic acid causes pain usually near the stomach. a sign that u must take a break/rest

many ILLEGAL drugs can prevent the pain. taking the RIGHT Bases like sodium bicarbonate-baking soda can prevent the pain beacause they neutralise each other. not recommended though.
