as a result of shaving, i have thick dark hair under my bellybutton and now iv decided i want my sot thin hair back. I read somewhere that waxing brings back the thin hair so i tried it. There wasnt anyone that waxes in my area so i bought a sticky hair remover thing ( whih is the same as waxing right?) and used it. The problem is after a week or so the hair still grew back thick and dark again. What should i do? am i stuck with the dark ugly hair for the rest of my life? Would repeated waxing bring the thin hair back? help me god help you.

My experience with waxing has been nothing but fantastic. I've waxed my legs for about 5 years now. It took a while, but the hair on my legs is really fine now and there is *way* less of it. I only have to wax about every 8-9 weeks now and I never have to shave.

I'm trying to remember how long it took, but I think I started seeing these results after about 3 months of waxing.

As for wax brands... I tried quite a few to find one I really like. My favorite is the Parissa Warm Wax. You can heat it up in a microwave or in a bowl of boiling water. But, talking to friends, I know that some waxes work better for some people than others. Those wax strips never really worked for me.

If you can't find wax where you are, you might consider ordering it online... but I live in a small town and wax is plentiful here. : ) You might ask your local pharmacy if they would consider ordering it in.
