Answers:

My first question is do you have a doctor that you see about this? What does he say? Is he recommending surgery?
These questions have to be answered before we even discuss this.
But, the basic is that, if the Scoliosis is interfering with you breathing or your quality of life, meaning that this is a REAL PROBLEM for you. Then you should consider surgery.
Yes, it is a risky procedure like any other surgery, It has risks like any other surgery. Pain wise, I am sure the surgeon will order pain medicine for you to be as comfortable as possible. So, that is not so much a worry.
Will it be successful? That would depend on you and the surgeon. Do your homework, pick a surgeon that SPECIALIZES in Scoliosis, and speak to his patients, find out how they are doing, what do they say about him etc....., then make your choice. Involve your parents encourage them to do their homework and educate themselves about all that has to do with the surgery and then they can make an "informed decision as a family". Remember your parents want what is best for you.
