Why can we not sneeze with our eyes open?!

Question:

Why can we not sneeze with our eyes open?

Answers:

It's an instinctive reflex, and has nothing to do with the body "knowing" that your eyeballs will blow out.
The force of a sneeze is no where near enough for your eyeballs to blow out of your head, and it is a myth that it is near the speed of a hurricane.
