Take Lysine supplements- Start out by taking 3-4 and then one every couple hours, that keeps down the swelling very good. I also use abreva and carmex, switching every so often for the pain and healing. Also, eat lots of yogurt..My pharmacist told me this, and it seems to be helping! I've had this fever blister for 3 days now and it will be completely gone in a day or two, which is great versus the 10-14 days they usually last! Good luck and I hope I helped!!
