My eyes tear up, why? And how can I stop that?!
Question:
My eyes tear up, why? And how can I stop that?
When I'm sleeping and I turn on one side, my eyes start tearing up. Why does that happen and how can I make that stop? It gets annoying because it makes my pillow wet.
Answers:
I'd suggest going to an eye doctor to see if there's a bigger problem going on. Also, it could be that your eyes are very dry, so they tear up more often to keep them lubricated. You can dry eye drops a few times a day and see if that helps.
Eye drops are especially important if you live in a dry climate, are currently experiencing dry weather, or work in an environment that causes sensitivity/dryness to your eyes. Smoky bars, or working excessively in front of a computer, are two ways I can think of that *really* dry out your eyes quickly.
I put eye drops in all the time because I work in front of a computer.
