Do you think chiropractors are money grubbing quacks?

I just went to one. The offered free xrays and consultation. When I went back for the consult, they suggested I spend $4000.00!! Out of pocket! and come 3 days a week for 3 months. Then they kept me in this little room with the doctor for an hour and a half while he pressured me to sign up. Like a used car salesman! This has really made me feel very negative about chiros. anybody have a similar experience?

I agree that there are good ones and bad ones, although it seems like the bad ones outnumber the good ones. The good ones are healthcare professionals that are in business for themselves and the bad ones are business men/women who practice healthcare. Seems like you came upon the later. The one beef I usually have with most chiro's is that they think they can cure EVERYTHING with an adjustment and in the process they can cause harm by not giving a patient proper treatment for injury/illness. They should stick with correcting vertebrae that are out of alignment.
