Where exactly is the septum?
i know it's in the nose...but is it on the hard cartledge or the soft skin below it?

The nasal septum separates the left and right airways in the nose, dividing the two nostrils.

Wiki shows pics to explain and show what the nasal septum is. I would say it is the hard cartilage inside center dividing wall in the nose.
