Is the ban on trading pokemon permanent?!

Is the ban on trading pokemon permanent?

I have gotten a hacked pokemon in a trade and now it wont let me trade for legendaries. It says this pokemon may not be traded or something like that. I want to know if the ban is permanent or not. because this ban sucks dick.
