How long did it take you to put contacts on for the first time? I'm 13 and I just got them. My eye doctor wouldnt let me leave until I could put them in and take them out all by myself-it took about an hour. I got so frusterated that I cried...lol...but couldn't take them out when I got home. I ended up scratching my eye badly and it hurt the next day so I didnt put my contacts in at all. Now I can't even put them in! I really need help-especially with taking them out. I dont wear my glasses cuz i hate them and i really need to wear contacts for the sports that i play! Help...please...

You were smart in not putting them in after you scratched your eye. That will only irratate it more.
In regards to putting them in. Make sure that it is on the tip if your pointer finger. Hold your bottom eyelid with your middle finger (same hand the contact is on). (If you are right handed, use right hand, if left use left.) With the other hand hold the top eyelid open. You have to be firm! DO NOT blink! Don't be afraid to touch your eye. After all it is the contact touching your eye, not your actual finger. After you have it on close your eye and pat the lid to make sure it is on there. Don't worry it gets easier everytime!
Now taking them out; Hold your bottom lid open with your middle finger. With your pointer finger and your thumb pinch the contact. Not very hard but enough to get a grip. I was in the same boat as you not long ago. It gets easier and easiert everyday!!!
If they are not extremely confortable right away, don't worry. It takes a while to get used to them. If they still hurt after about a week or two, call your doctor. I went through like 8 different pairs before I found one that was comfortable.
