Cotton Swabs?
What is the deal with using cotton swabs to clean out your ears? Is it true that you shouldn't really use them? I hear that they just push the ear wax into your ear. Is this true or have I been lied to? If it is true, then what is an alternative to cotton swabs?

They're okay to use if you have too much wax in your ears, but be very gentle and don't put the swab into your ear canal.
