Painful feet?!

Question:

Painful feet?

I work in retail in a huge Home Improvement store with concrete floors. I am a head cashier, consequently I am constantly running around like a chicken with my head cut off. By the end of the day, my feet hurt so bad that I can hardly walk. I have tried numerous brands of tennis shoes with cushioned soles, but still my heels hurt, and I get water blisters on the bottom of my toes which are excrutiatingly painful. I am at a loss as to what to to. I thought of maybe buying a pair of tennis shoes that are a half size larger than what I wear, and buy gel insoles. I hate to keep buying shoes all the time. Anyone have any suggestions? If there are any Podiatrists out there, your advice will be especially welcome. Thank you in advance to anyone who takes the time to answer this.

Answers:

One day, when you're free, go buy some shoes that don't pinch - not even a bit. Try some that are half a size bigger to make sure. Take some thick socks with you to get them right. And make sure they have a pretty soft sole. Get some good socks - there are some made especially for sports men, and certain parts of them have extra-plush. Find some with extra-plush on the sides that bother you the most. There are also some special cushions made for people who dance a lot in high heels, you could get some of those just to ease the pressure on your feet.
