Is going up 18 flights of stairs twice a day every day benificial towards the lower body? For better or worse

That is great exercise for strengthening the legs and improving cardiovascular conditioning, plus burns a lot of calories. I would caution though that this is hard on the knees and can prematurely wear down the knees. I would recommend you do this 2-3 days a week and find a more knee friendly exercise like walking or swimming to do other days in the week.
