Bloody phlegm...?
When I woke up I had a little bit of a lump in my throat and brough up a couple of bits of phlegm that were red, almost black in colour. Since I got home I have been spitting out more bloody phlegm and it has now been 12 hours since I woke up. I don't have a temperature, but I have a bit of tightness in my chest. Help!

Sounds a little like allergy symptoms, but I'm not a doctor so I couldn't say for sure... definitely go see a real doctor though! Even if it does turn out to be nothing to get concerned about, at least you would know! I wouldn't necessarily say that you need to go to the hospital- you don't seem to have any current symptoms that would warrant an emergency room visit, those visits are incredibly expensive and often times insurance companies will not pay the bill if they deem it to be a non-emergency- just make an appointment at your local clinic, pronto. Don't hold off on this, you don't want to risk letting this turn into something horrible.
