What is the maximum recommended dose of diazepam?

What is the maximum safe dose you can take at any one time. My wife is on it and I want to make sure she is not having to much. I do not want to wait until she has had to much before finding out. She doe have it prescribed but has more than prescribed to deal with the pain.

I know it is her prescription and am not trying to interfere. I just want to make sure she is not taking to much as web sites say people are prescribed 5-30mg spread over a day. She takes them as and when required. As her husband I have her welfare at heart. She does say she is fine with the amount she is taking as she has been on it before.

depends on the dose and strength she has been given, and what it is being used for?
I know someone who takes 6 tabs a day and the strength is 5mg but everyones circumstances are different, is your wife concerned also?
