Answers:

Oh dear. I'm 42-years of age, and I still vividly remember how I felt feeling like I didn't fit in in High School. It's especially hard if you're coming here from another country and it's hard enough being from here alone. You are going through depression, but it's situational depression where you're depressed over a situation. I just hope it doesn't become clinical depression.

Let me share with you something that no one shared with me at your age and I wish they did. There are certain things that you can change and there are certain things you can not change. You can not change anothers attitude toward you. People (some anyway) are going to be judgemental toward you and either tease you or bully you because of either your looks, or ideas, or beliefs or any number of things that they choose.

What you can change is your attitude about yourself. It is hard, but it can be done and let me share with you how, okay? Start with your gifts and skills. What subject(s) are you good at? In what area(s) do you excel? Take those areas in which you are good in and strive in excelling in them and taking pride in your skills and your talents.

What about your physical appearance? There are things that you can change there. I was born with brown hair and I don't like having brown hair. So I dyed it blond. Nowadays, if you wear contact lenses, you can even change the color of your eyes. And most important of all, learn to love yourself. Learn to be your own best friend. Be the best that you can be, not the best that anyone wants you to be. That's called peer pressure and can destroy your self esteem. I really wish you the best and hope you feel better. I wish that someone shared what I'm sharing with you at my age, though.
