My parathyroid levels are high and calcium levels low,has anyone else experience!

Question:

My parathyroid levels are high and calcium levels low,has anyone else experience of this?

if so what are the treatments/side effects?

Answers:

This is very unusual. The parathyroid hormone regulates the amount of calcium in your body and blood plasma. If your parathyroid level is high, your blood plasma calcium level will also be high, not low. The most common cause of this is a growth in one of your parathyoid glands, which will require surgery to be removed.
