Are you intending to harm yourself? There are several factors involed in your answer. Where in the neck? The neck muscels help to prevent from "whip-lash" injuries. In the old days a "hang-man's" table was used to determine the hight a body must fall based on a victiums height, weight & sex. It was NOT accurate due to the difference in neck muscles and bone strength. For instance: Superman (Christopher Reeves) broke his neck and was paralized, I however hit a bridge @ 70 mph. In my case, the break did not show-up right away. 1 1/2 yrs after the accident I had surgery to fix C-1 & C-2. A break in C-4 & C-5 is much more common. Neck injuries do NOT show on x-rays, cat scans, or MRI's right away (green stick break).
