Hurts to swallow, cough, sneeze, and yawn?!

Question:

Hurts to swallow, cough, sneeze, and yawn?

I've had this weird feeling in my throat for the past few days. It hurts anytime I swallow, cough, yawn, and especially hurts when I sneeze. It feels like it hurts a bit less than the previous days, and I'm not sure what to do about it. I've been just taking sore throat lozenges but it only helps a little. I also have a little bit of a runny nose. What do I have? What can I do to feel better? Thanks!

Answers:

Go to a doctor - you could have a virus that let in a bacteria infection - it can go up into your ears and the only thing that can stop it is anti-biotics - follow your Dr.'s instructions and us the full course of anti-biotics - don't even stop using them just because you feel better - that make the bacteria resistent and then when you have problem next time it will be harder to get rid of. In the mean time you can take some Ibprophin to take some of the pain away. I love honey and lemon juice in hot water and taking a small spoon of straight honey right before - it gives temporary relief - got steamy showers are great and those shower vapor things are great too
