OMG I think I'm gonna puke... Worm growing on my raspberries!!?

So I opened up a package of raspberries that had been in my fridge. I was JUST eating them last night, and now this morning there is a small, skinny, catipillar looking worm latched on to one of the berries. Yes I'm sure it's a worm because it is moving. Do you think I could have gotten sick from eating them last night? Where did this worm come from? Could there be worms in the rest of the food left uncovered in my fridge?? I was about to bake cookies with cookie dough I made a few days ago.. Should I not now? Help! I'm so grossed out!!!

Produce often has insects in it. You should always wash produce before consuming it. Some people even rinse meat before cooking with it. I would not be overly concerned about the rest of your food. In all likelihood, the worm was in with the berries. Judging from his size, he probably didn't eat much:) Just empty any produce into a collander next time and rinse thoroughly.
