Is buying a creme that needs a prescription in the U.S but not in Canada illegal!

Question:

Is buying a creme that needs a prescription in the U.S but not in Canada illegal?

I wanted to buy this creme from an online pharmacy in Canada that is sold over-the-counter there, but I think i would need a prescription here.

Answers:

No, it's not illegal. The only problem you might encounter is shipping, as in Customs. And unless this cream contains a Class II narcotic, nearly impossible, there should be no problem. Customs has eased up greatly on medicines coming in from Canada. Basically the way it works is that if the product you're ordering fall into the 30 day usage category Customs will usually let it through. 30 day is the normal period of a prescribed medication prescription. If you ordered the equivalent of a year's worth of something, they would probably send you a notice that you would have to provide some type of documentation, but this is HIGHLY unlikely. The worst that can happen is that Customs returns the package which, again, is highly improbable. Best of Luck!
