How to get rid of piles after child birth? genuine help only!!!!?!

Question:

How to get rid of piles after child birth? genuine help only!!!!?

I have piles, developed these during the birth of my daughter over 2 years ago and still here!

I have tried creams, ice-cubes, solutions to soften stools, everything.

i am pregnant again, and they are really sore again and bleed when I got to the tiolet. I am also anaemic, but have stooped taking iron supplements due to constipation!

Is it true you can get them lasered away in hospital when you are in having the baby (afterwards)..... what do you have to do to get this treatment!

Help, any advice would be great!

Sophia

I have never heard of this treatment so I don't know anything about that, my friend is due to have her piles removed but she has got to have them removed surgically, she has been suffering off and on since chilbirth and her children are all grown up, so a very long time. If you are fairly young and even though it has been two years of suffering they might prefer to wait to see if they will get better on their own and if they advise removing them surgically with an op you have to take it very easy for quite a while (lifting etc) so that would be difficult with young kids, try and have a chat with your Doctor he will give you all the pros and cons. My daughter asked about having her piles removed as she has suffered through two pregnancies and afterwards and the Doctor advised her to leave well alone for the time being (she's 26) but all Doctors are different aren't they!
I have suffered off and on since my first baby (26 years ago) and I recently had a very bad bout after I'd been seriously ill, I had really good pessaries from the Doctor which were much better than the over the counter treatments even he said the shop bought treatments were a waste of money. I know you know this, but keeping your regular bowel habits is really the best thing to keep the dreaded piles at bay as they do tend to crop up once you've had them once and constipation is the main culprit. Eat plenty of fruit, veg and roughage and as much water as you can drink. Obviously this time the piles have been aggravated by pregnancy hormones and the extra pressure on the blood supply and veins. Resting with your feet up when you can will help ease them, you are going to gain weight in pregnancy but it is better to try and not put more weight on than is advised as this can add to the pressure down below making the piles worse. If they are bleeding or sore have plenty of warm salt baths that will help them to heal and any cream with teatree in it is great to soothe.
You say you have used all the lotions and potions have you tried Fibogel? I always use this at my bad times, you can get it in sachets off the Doctor or from the Pharmacist, it is all completely natural roughage so should be safe with pregnancy. It helps the stools move along the bowel helping the constipation that causes the piles but it doesn't give you dairhhoea or cramps. It works fine bit you must mix it in the stated amount of water and try and drink one or more glasses af water straight after, and plenty of water through out the day, it isn't the most pleasant thing to drink but you put up with that if it works and it always works for me. Don't think it will happen over night it might take a few days but it will help to restore the natural bowel movements, so it's worth being patient. Once it gets better you can leave it off and your body will let you know if you need to take it again. When you go to the loo try not to strain, I know it's not easy but this makes them worse and you get that awful bleeding and terrible soreness.
Your best bet is to talk to your Doctor again they obviously can't do anything now as your pregnant and their likely to say that they'll improve after, but once you have piles, as you know they tend to keep coming back. Ask him about the treatment you've heard about, it sounds pretty good, if they do this to anyone with piles I'd have it done like a shot as they really affect my life sometimes and they make you feel so uncomfortable and miserable, especially when you have young kids to look after.
Well I hope you sort it out, you can give me some tips then for when mine play up, which is often, all the best and good luck with the baby!
