I would like to donate bone marrow but it seems like it is very complicated. I have been an organ donor all my
< i was thrown threw the windshield of a car when i was 16 and almost died. I didn't require blood transfusion thank god because that was still the time that aids was rampant in blood donation.But I would still like to help anybody that I can while I am alive. I have never been sick in my life.. I will be 50 in January,I haven't even had a cold in 4-5 years. I think I have some special immunity that I would like to pass on. I am not ready to be guinea pig but would like to give what I have to someone else.

I was a marrow donor 3 1/2 years ago. You can get info at www.marrow.org. I'm still on the registry!
Its not complicated. I had an inital blood draw and was placed on the list. I was called about a potential match, had to have more tests and a physical ( the best I ever had at NO cost) and was the best match. The transported me and had someone stay with me that night after the procedure.
