They are going to check my kidneys tomorrow. How do they check my kidneys? I'm going to kidney specialist...
Answers:
You will have to lay on your stomach on a bed and remove your clothes off your back. Then the doctor will do an ultrasound of your kidneys. It is also possible that they will draw some blood from you in order to check the level of blood substances that are normally eliminated through urine. These are creatinine, urea and uric acid. If the levels are higher than normal this usually means that you have an early onset of kidney failure. Normal values indicate normal kidney functioning.
Also possible is a urine test.
